Event Description

Love Bath, hate plastic waste, know a bit about stuff?

Then you need to get three of your friends together and come and help us kick off fundraising for Refill Bath - a community project to build on the amazing work of City to Sea in getting cafés, bars, and restaurants across the city to welcome you and happily refill your water bottle!

  • Hear from Natalie Fee about Refill, what inspired her, and how well Bristol have done.
  • We'll have a quiz (environmental theme!) with great prizes donated by local businesses.
  • The Rising Sun Inn are offering a very special deal of £5 for a bowl of pasta (vegan or vegetarian) as well as their usual menu of locally sourced, home made and cooked food.
  • We'll have a raffle with more great prizes.
  • Pit your wits against the whole group in the ever popular quick fire round.
  • And of course, lots of wine, beer, tea, coffee, and soft drinks at the bar.
  • The Rising Sun Inn is family friendly so feel free to bring your budding eco-warriers along!

Refill is a practical tap water campaign that aims to:

• Reduce Landfill
• Save Money
• Keep Bath Beautiful!

We aim to make refilling your bottle really easy by introducing refill stations on every street.  So your friendly cafés, shops, hotels, and businesses welcome you in to refill your water bottle for free!

Why carry a bottle with you? Single-use plastic bottles are expensive to produce, use up valuable natural resources to make and transport, and create mountains of waste once we’ve gulped down the contents. And recycling’s not the answer either, here in the UK an estimated 800 plastic bottles a MINUTE are either ending up in landfill or as litter, which will too often make its way into our waterways and out to sea.

Have a look at this video by Natalie Fee, the force behind Refill, and get your game on!
