The just released governmental 25 Year Environmental Plan sets out the long term plans for the UK’s environmental standing, including ‘net environmental gain’ in infrastructure and housing development, an end to avoidable plastics waste, a new statutory watchdog to oversee environmental decisions and recycling and waste plans with at least a tip-of-the-hat to the circular economy, but what does it actually mean for businesses in the West of England?
Building on the recently released Clean Growth Strategy and the Industrial Strategy as well as the trickle of information on what format Brexit might take, we have a clearer picture of where UK policy may be heading for environmental business and growth, but is it enough for businesses to plan ahead?
How do you want to see these long term aims put into action in the near future? Join our panel to hear how they think this may affect us in practice and to discuss what it may mean in practice for business sectors as well as what is missing.
