Event Description

This month we have two very different talks - both on solutions to pollution problems:

The first will be presented by David Searby of, the local campaign group, Fossil Free BaNES. He'll be talking to us and rallying support to get the Avon Pension Fund (which manages the pensions for the BaNES and Bristol council) to divest their investments from funds related to fossil fuel extraction. The APF currently has £170m invested in funds related to fossil fuels.

The second talk will be by Adam Reynolds who'll briefly talk us through his proposal to make the centre of Bath a "Living Heart" - a liveable area that prioritizes people over private motor vehicles.

The latest version of Adam's proposal is attached in t...he thread below.

19:30 - start
20:00 - 10-15 min talk - David Searby - Fossil Free BaNES
20:20 - brief Q&A
20:40 - 10-15 min talk - Adam Reynolds - "Living Heart" Delivery Plan
21:00 - brief Q&A
21:15 - the usual, unstructured, Green Drinks

Don't forget that you're not restricted to alcohol with a range of freshly ground coffee, lots of teas, and soft drink options as well ;-)

There's also the Green Drinkers special deal of £5 for a bowl of pasta (vegan available) as well as all their other wonderful dishes. They stop serving at 21:00.
